About

Anna Spackman has a shameless and enduring love for human beings, and music is its vehicle.

Born and raised in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, Anna first started hosting and performing at open mics when she was seventeen, and quickly started headlining at venues such as the Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville and Seven Stones Cafe in Media. She lived in Portland, Oregon from 2008 to 2014, where she hosted and featured at a monthly variety show called Art Anon at The Waypost. She has also been featured several times at the Portland Poetry Slam.

Since moving back to Phoenixville, Anna has shared the stage with Chris Pureka, Amy Correia, and Lucy Kaplansky. She has also released her first completely self-recorded and produced album Precipice in 2024, inspired by her professional experience as a hospice music therapist.

Anna delivers a soulful acoustic performance with songs that will linger in audience’s heads and hearts. Her soaring vocals and complex musical landscapes pay tribute to songwriters such as Joni Mitchell, Shawn Colvin, and Ani DiFranco. Anna has three albums and one EP available on all streaming services, and bonus tracks up on her Bandcamp. Her newer songs explore hope and resilience in the face of oppressive systems, and seek to connect us back to ourselves and one another.
